Come on out onto the street for a feminist 1st of May! 🚩
Rising prices for food and housing, a health system that has been run into the ground, war in Europe, the Middle East, East Africa, comeback of compulsory military service,… One crisis follows another, and we are torn between them. What kind of life is this, where we are never safe and are constantly threatened by violence? Violence, that manifests itself in wars, exploits us in poorly paid jobs, or beats us off the street and wants to silence our voices. Violence from which we’re not even safe at home. Even in our own communities, we’re often confronted with patriarchal mechanisms and other forms of oppressive structures.
Fck your Flowers, empty promises, girl-boss-feminism! We want change, and we will continue to fight against the patriarchy. Join us at 13:12 for a militant feminist 1st of May!
There is no class struggle without feminism, there is no feminism without class struggle 🚩

Why are we not part of the revolutionary 1st May Demo?
Over the last few years, we have organized the feminist bloc at the revolutionary 1st of May demo, which starts at Oranienplatz this year. Our demo this year is not intended as a competing event; therefore, we are starting early, and it is very possible from our endpoint, Wittenbergplatz, to join the other march in time. However, there are good reasons why we have decided to suspend our collaboration this year. The alliance has repeatedly failed to meet our aspirations to create a feminist space on the streets. There were and are no awareness persons present throughout the entire march. There have been instances where people from other blocs approached us because they were not being heard there. Our demand that the entire alliance make room for awareness work was not realized. We had to repeatedly fight to exclude groups that do not take accountability for their failure to address sexualized violence in their structures (FKO and KA, more info at @stoppt_taeter) from the collaboration. While they are not officially forming their own block, they are once again involved in organizing the socialist block this year. We no longer want to do feminist work within alliances for groups that dont prioritize these issues. We don’t want to march side by side with those who cover for perpetrators; instead, we want to create spaces where those affected can also take their anger to the streets and fight for a class-conscious feminism.
Demo-consensus
There is no place at our march for queerphobia, transphobia, sexism, racism, anti-Semitism, Zionism or any form of fundamentalism.
Awareness-people will be walking alongside the march. If you feel uncomfortable or harassed, please approach them.
As a demonstration, we are fighting for the liberation of all those oppressed by patriarchy, capitalism, fascism and imperialism.
We explicitly stand in solidarity with Palestine and, furthermore, with all those affected by imperialism, from Rojava to Venezuela.
We’re planning on having a creative and colourful demonstration and would be delighted if you’d join us.
Flags and other forms of expression from the organisations KA and FKO, as well as their partner groups (e.g. Frauenkollektiv, Studierendenkollektiv), will not be tolerated.
For us, the 1st of May is not a public holiday but a day of political action: if you want to drink alcohol or take other drugs, please do so elsewhere.
Do not take photos or film other people without their permission.
If you have bicycles or dogs with you, please join the back of the march.

Things can always be escalated by the police. Avoid using oily creams in case pepper spray is used. Also, think carefully about whether you want to take your phone with you!
It’s also a good idea to come in groups of 2–8 people who can look out for one another.
If the case of an arrest or if you are missing someone from your support group, you can contact the Investigation Committee (EA) on 0306922222.
You will need to provide the EA with the missing person’s real name, date of birth and registered address in order to obtain information about an arrest.
f people do get arrested, there is a GESA support team – people who will be waiting for you outside the detention centre.
