🌕 Why We Need A New Trans Pride? 🌕
Here’s why we’re fed up, and why you should be too.

For years, the so-called Berlin Trans Pride has been betraying the roots of a pride march: an Intifada, a Riot.

Instead, they have been playing vanilla politics, tokenizing black & global majority (BGM) people and calling it ‘solidarity’.

📆 About Recent Years
Last year, while claiming solidarity with Palestine, which they only did after being called-out for it, they condemned the Palestinian resistance, and invited a zionist to host the march.

The year before, they banned the Palestinian flag. Then they banned ‘all national flags’, trying to remain neutral during an ongoing genocide in Palestine – in the country arming and funding the genocide.

⌛️ Why We’re Fed Up
“Neutrality” is complicity.
Silence is violence.
No more pinkwashing.
We refuse to perform respectability for oppressors.

Trans BGMs have been fighting for years to be heard in white-centered spaces.

This year, we stop fighting for a corner in their space…

We build our own.

No begging.
No bargaining.
No sidelining our struggles or our siblings in:

Berlin, Palestine, Congo, Sudan, Abya Yala, Haiti, Iran, Lebanon, Cuba, Venezuela, Yemen, everywhere.

For the purpose of transparency, as this remark has been rightfully pointed out by a comrade: Although ITP was originally founded by BGMs (Black and Global Majority people), most people who ulteriorly joined are white trans people. We understand that „we build our own“ can be misleading in this sense. This post has been written by said BGMs, we let our subjectivity shape the message without seeing how it could read to others.
